New OTA-TIDA Seminar: A
Primer on US Litigation in Truck Accident Cases
(July, 2008) -- On September 10th, OTA and
the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) will host a joint seminar at
OTA’s offices. The seminar will follow the life of an under ride crash and
participants will learn strategies in all areas for successful handling of U.S
trucking claims. Leading executives from US law firms and insurance companies,
along with representatives from U.S Xpress and Cardinal Logistics, will be
leading the seminar.
Topics will include: DOT regulations and compliance;
cargo claims; negligent hiring of drivers; utilization of independent adjusters;
state laws and their application to tort claims; the empathetic approach to
handling truck claims; the US legal system, trial techniques and
strategies.
